I am a counsellor/psychotherapist based in Methven (Perthshire). I offer 1:1 counselling sessions to adults on an open ended contract. This means that you can book as many or as few sessions as you like – we will be finishing our work together when you feel this is the right time for you to step away from counselling.
Sessions tends to follow a routine pattern of weekly/fortnightly meeting on the same day and time of the week, unless we have made a different agreement due to a specific reason. Following an enquiry, I offer an initial meeting (approx. ½ hour, in person, on-line or telephone) for us to go through practicalities and to find out whether we are the right match for counselling. Once we have agreed to work together, sessions lasts 60 minutes and I ask for a £45 fee per session.
My approach is Relational and Integrative and I can help you explore a broad range of difficulties you may be going through, whether these are due to present challenges or past struggles. For me being a counsellor is about being able to provide a safe space where you can relax and explore whatever is important for you in a way which is meaningful to you. Whether your natural process of ‘making sense’ may be predominantly cognitive or through creative expression, it is my aim to support your unique journey of exploration.
I have been offering counselling for 20 years; I came to the profession with more than 10 years’ experience of working in the field of addiction, mental health and trauma.
For an informal chat on any aspect of my practice, please get in touch.
